Friday October 5th:

Chili Cook Off

Hosted by the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce, the annual Chili Cook-off has featured the culinary creations of individuals, local organizations, and area businesses for more than 30 years! What started with just a few vendors on one block of East Main Street in downtown Belleville has now grown to more than 60 vendors and is one of the largest festivals in Belleville! Wine and Witches Sweeping Away Cancer

Support the American Cancer Society Wine & Witches Sweeping Away Cancer on Friday, October 6, 2017 for a one-of-a-kind evening, featuring wine, witches, and much more at the Weingarten in Belleville. Join them for heavy hors d’oeuvres and wine for a magical evening! With your support, the American Cancer Society saves lives by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back against cancer. Movies on the River

Join the Friends of Jefferson Barracks for a Halloween- themed movie, “Bedknobs and Broomsticks,” with you family and friends on the newly restored Powder Magazine Pation. Bring your lawnchairs, blankets or pillows and dress for the weather. For more information call 314-615-8800. Admission is $1 or wear a costume and get in free!! Childrens activities and concessions will be available.

Stumpy’s Fall Festival

Visit Columbia Illinois’ own Stumpy’s Distillery. This will be a fantastic fall evening of live music, food trucks, bon fires and of course amazing drinks mixed with the incredibly delicious Stumpy’s line of products- You must try something mixed with the Eckert’s Peach infused Stumpy’s Unbroken Vodka. You will not be disappointed!
Unofficially, I heard a rumor that there may be a product release happening as well, so you could be one of the first to try another incredible creation!

Pumpkin Fest

Join Belleville’s Braeutigam Orchards for their fall harvest celebration! They will have a weekend of fun during our normal business hours Saturday and Sunday October 7th and 8th. They will have normal activities, as well as, horse rides, old time cider press, a bunch of kids games, ice cream, and food! On Sunday afternoon they will have live music! Enjoy time with the family and pick your pumpkin.

Sunday, October 8th:

Maeystown Oktoberfest

Experience the sounds and smells of autumn at the historic village of Maeystown. This event features arts, crafts, antiques and food around the stone mill and bridge. More than 50 artisans, crafters, dealers, and numerous food stands will be featured. Arts and crafts will include rug weaving, felting, blacksmithing, photography, woodworking, and a country store. Food will include turtle soup, potato pancakes and popcorn cooked in old-fashioned kettles. Bratwurst, funnel cakes, apple butter, and pies will be some of the other choices available. The village specialty shops, the Corner George Inn bed and breakfast, restaurants, and museum will be open throughout the day.

Pumpkin Jamboree at Eckert’s

Visit Eckert’s in Belleville at 10am Sunday. Ride the wagons out to the pumpkin patch to search for your great pumpkin. Their pumpkins range from a couple of pounds to more than 150 pounds, so they are sure to have the perfect jack-o-lantern for you. Wagon rides, music, live entertainment, pony rides, funnel cakes and festival foods make this a fun-filled weekend for everyone. Children’s activities include a petting farm. There is a fee to pick pumpkins.
